5 Things

This project is over Matthew, my best friend and partner of over four years, and the 5 things that make up who he is: his Binoculars, Comic Books, Bonsai Tree, Florida Sweatshirt, and Gold Chain. The piece itself is inspired by his love for games. It emulates a bag of dice, and each cube is numbered like a typical 6-sided die. To read, follow the large numbers on the outsides of the cubes first, starting at 1, then follow the individual numbered faces of each cube, starting at dot 1. By interacting with these cubes, the viewer will more greatly understand Matthew's mind, his heart, and how important he is to me.
