Box of Birds Club

Box of Birds is a community, newsletter, website, and social presence that is in its beginning stages. Run by my fiancé and I, it is a personal project that sprung up during a time we needed it most. It is a beautiful merging of our talents—he writes and I design and take photos—where we are able to connect with our passion: bringing people back to nature in the ways we know how. Starting the newsletter itself required a lot of learning for myself especially, on top of everything I was learning at my full time job. It required a lot of patience, self-compassion, and hours of just sitting down and figuring it out. There was new software to learn and a lot of figuring out how to get around pre-made templates. Built in Photoshop, most of the newsletter was designed and exported in slices to allow for gifs and personalized imagery, while live type was typed into the newsletter software for responsiveness and clickable links. A lot to learn but a ton of fun too!
